Think before you say anything.....
Coincidentally, I was checking my FB page via mobile and was browsing through the news feed when I came across mix fm feed --> breakfast show topic: "WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN PEOPLE DO IN PUBLIC THAT MAKES YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE". And this particular caller mentioned seeing a lady breastfeeding her child.
I am not against nor agreed to the answer. As a mother myself, I felt that we are not that 'open' to this kind of situation. It's like seeing matsaleh's selamba badak bercium in public. It is not our culture to kiss in public.
Why I said against nor agreed is because, some people sees bf as disgusting and some (otak kuning) finds it arousing. To those in the latter group should wash their brain with clorox. For those who fall under disgusting category, the feeding part or the act of nursing or seeing that lady's partly showed breast is disgusting?
I. myself experienced it before. I was nursing my daughter and cover up using a poncho, and I saw people turned twice. mmmm excuse me, it's not that I am doing something illegal. Some might say that why don't we get prepared with the breast milk when going out or some might say, just feed formula milk. Again, this is up to an individual. And some might say, there is a nursing room available, do make use of it.
My answer would be, suka hati I lah nak bf ke nak kasi formula milk ke....let it be anywhere.
Secondly, ko dah check ke nursing room provided kat shopping complex tu terletak kat mana? Some at only located at children's department. Some next to the ladies toilet, some they do provide but it's not hygienic. They have more toilets than nursing stations!
People who doesn't go through what mothers went through will not understand. Oh mothers out there, I support bf eventhough I am no longer exclusively bf my daughter. One more thing, do use a poncho/shawl or anything to cover up ok!
Cikabom
It's amazing. Sekejap je dah 5 bulan. Next month nak masuk 6 bulan, masa tu Keisha akan diberi makan bubur nasi. Sekarang ni pun dah start kasi dia baby bite. Pemalas sikit cikabom ni. Dia nak orang pegangkan.
Tengoklah jumper pun dah tak muat.

Ko fikir sendiri
Mother: *calling her daughter's name*
.
.
No respond. After few times, the mother raised her voice.
Daughter: Mom, you don't need to raise ur voice.
Mother: I've been calling you so many times.
Daughter: *defending herself*
Mother: All this while, I never asked you to help me. But lately, when I called you once, you never answer me. That's why I have to raise my voice so that you can hear me.
Daughter: *kept silent*
And after that I heard the house was completely quite. I only hear the dogs barking!
----------
The reason I blog about this is because we shouldn't take things for granted. I know few of 'this kind of people'. I called them 'ungrateful and lazy'. Everything is being done by your parents. Sampai bilik ko pun,mak ko kemas kan. Ada tu seluar dalam ko kena period pun ayah ko tolong beruskan.
DAMN IT!
Sepanjang aku membesar, memang tak pernah aku buat kerja rumah, sebab ada maid. Aku akui aku langsung tak tahu nak iron baju sendiri. Tapi ibu aku (sesiapa kenal dia, memang tahu dia sangat garang) sangat menitikberatkan hal2 kebersihan. Ibu selalu membebel, setiap kali bangun pagi, katil kena berkemas. Lepas makan, pinggan kena cuci sendiri. Bila dah meningkat dewasa, kalo seluar dalam kena darah, kena bersihkan sendiri. Mula2 dulu tu, memang aku rasa macam 'bingit' je Ibu asyik membebel hal2 ni.
Sampai satu tahap, ibu dah tak hire maid. Masa tu amik ko. Bilik tunggang langgang, semua kena kemas sendiri. Dari tak geti menggosok baju/seluar, semua kena buat sendiri. Lama2 jadi pandai. Comparing myself with my younger siblings, dorg lagi pandai buat kerja rumah at young age. Salute to them!
My point is, jangan lah melampau sangat perangai tu sampai parents ko buat semua. Sambil tengok tv, boleh je kan lipat baju. Dari ko dok tgk smart phone ko 24-7, boleh kan kemas rumah. Bukannya lama pun nak buat. Lagi satu, takkan nak kena suruh baru nak buat. Tak de rasa tanggungjawab langsung. Kalo ko budak kecil tu lain lah cite, ni dah besar panjang, dah boleh kahwin dan jadi mak orang.
Sejak aku jadi mak ni, memang banyak tanggungjawab aku pikul, sebagai isteri, mak, anak dan kakak. Memang letih. Tu belum masuk aku kena masak dan mengemas rumah dan menguruskan baju2 lagi. (Masak belum, tapi aku tolonglah mana yang mampu-kekadang lipat baju, kekadang kemas2 pinggan kat sinki etc). Tapi aku mmg tabik spring kat MIL sebab bgn awal pagi buat sarapan dan masak untuk makan tengah hari (bukan masak lauk cincai2 tau)
Don't take things for granted. Dua kali aku ulang phrase ni. Sebab, bila segala 'kesenangan' ko tu dah tak de, masa tu barulah ko nak menyesal sebab ko tak tahu nak buat apa. Malu kat diri sendiri. Ko ingat nanti ko kahwin dengan orang kaya sekalipun, ko langsung tak tahu buat kerja2 rumah, sapa yang malu? Ko gak. Lagi satu, ko tu dah besar panjang. Patutnya lebih bertanggungjawab.
